The wealthy do not like the masses having too much free time. It is no coincidence that the push to reopen the economy and force everyone back into the office came into full force following the death of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter protests. Those protests represented a threat to the status quo, and so did encouraging people to slow down and stay home.

Well, it's a neat idea, but it would probably work better if we didn't all go on vacation at the same.

And man, nobody wants to live through covid restrictions again. I'd much rather be able to travel abroad while on vacation, or at least leave the house for "non-essential" reasons.

That is certainly true! For some workers, it would indeed have to be staggered or spread out more to make the basic logistics match up.

And I agree, NEVER AGAIN with anything like the Covid restrictions. Like, ever. Seriously, full stop.

Amen to that! And for truly essential jobs that cannot (yet) be automated, simply give such workers the same amount of time off, but spread out throughout the year in smaller chunks.
