Liberals seeking support to reclaim the pre-Trump system need to understand that singing "Kumbaya" and "We Shall Overcome" won't suffice. We need demonstration of a genuinely ethical, moral, and just system. The past framework enabling human death and suffering cannot continue regardless of who is in the White House. Until that is done, It’s Your Crisis, Not Ours.

Same money buys votes on both sides of the aisle. Both sides of the aisle are beholden to the same money. Until we get money out of politics, nothing is going to change. Looming in the background, however, is global warming. And THAT is going to change Everything.
Now that everyone is a doomer, maybe we can actually make some real progress as a culture again. Trump and Musk revealing they are morons wholly undeserving of their wealth and power could be good in the long run. The myth that Republicans are good for the economy better fucking die this time. I have been saying for years that the billionaires were fucking us all but no one cared. I predicted they would intentionally crash the economy a year ago. I sold all my stocks at the peak in january. My family thought I was just dooming, now I Iook like a fucking genius. Being clear eyed about who the real enemy of America is has never steered me wrong.
The whole Trump thing is all just one more chapter of many in the story of the decline and fall of modernity at the hands of entropy. It matters not who gets what or who doesn't, there is nothing anyone can do about where we are headed. Beyond perhaps making personal decisions in response. Aside from this, whe whole "Left/Right" characterization of the world is idiotic. A woefully inadequate premise that has made fools of us all.

The disgusts of the status quo doesn't have any atom of credibility. Voting for Trump because of a democrat"s disgust it's like voting for the fox because the rooster sings out of tune, because it is clear since a long time that Trump would worsen all the problems people were complaining. The fact is that many people easily accomodate with capitalistic disasters as long their favorite scapegoats are suffering more than them.

It's not just liberals who are doomers. My maga friends outdo dooming in spades. I realize it is fashionable to bash liberals. It makes the bashers feel like they're making a difference. Or something. I don't care. A valid criticism of capitalism doesn't need demonization of any one facet in it. The system of billionaires' desires being triumphant over the 98% of us non-millionaires in a society needs to end. Everyone in the system is complicit, unless one is actively doing something to end it. How to end it is the thing, isn't it? Dooming about doomers helps frame the question, but a practical guide on ending the rapacious capitalist system is needed.
