Your pessimism is refreshing in an overly optimistic world. However it's important to as Benatar says "be pessimistic where it makes sense to be pessimistic and be optimistic where it makes sense to be optimistic" (paraphrased)
'Nature' is indeed nothing but the pure and absolute truth! And so, to understand that it is not 'other', that humans are part of 'Nature', and so surrounded, immersed and connected directly to innumerable, undeniable, simple and profound examples of incredible and deep beauty... well, it is as great and moving a thing as it is basic and natural! =)
Alpenglow on mountain peaks, birdsong in the morning, the riot of autumn colour that graces the granite of the precambrian shield and the infinite profusions of green that grow enormously atop soils just as thin in western pacific forests, the beavers that built the former and the salmon that support the latter... one could go on and on and on.
It is worthwhile, I think, to sit still and listen for the story the chickadees can tell.
Rejoice: "We’re Currently in the Best Time for Camera Technology", I just read this article, and this is the only good thing about our time, and the only thing that makes me survive.
